Michael M Mihailidis - B.Optom. GradDipOcTher (UNSW). LLM (Usyd)
Michael has been practising optometry for 30 years since graduating from the University of NSW with a Bachelor of Optometry degree in 1988.
He is highly experienced in advanced contact lens fitting and myopia control with a specific interest in Orthokeratology. Additionally, Michael has also co - authored numerous textbooks related to contact lenses.
In 2018, Michael obtained a Diploma of Ocular Therapeutics from UNSW allowing him to be actively involved in the co- management of ocular diseases such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration and Diabetes related/ Retinal diseases.
Michael is bilingual and can conduct his examinations in both fluent Greek and English.
Maria Dimitratos - B.Optom (UNSW). GradDipOcTher (ACO)
Maria graduated from the University of NSW in 1988 with a Bachelor of Optometry (Class 1 Honours) and has been practising since 1992.
She has a special interest in Children’s Vision and is always updating her knowledge in the treatment of Dry Eyes.
Maria recently completed her extra studies and received a Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics from the Australian College of Optometry to become a therapeutically endorsed optometrist.
Maria is bilingual and can conduct her examinations in both fluent Greek and English.
Hala Algelan – B.Optom (UOA). B.Biotech
Hala is an experienced optometrist with a demonstrated history of working at hospitals, age care, and health care centres in both cities and rural areas.
Therapeutically endorsed, Hala is skilled in eye examination and medical diagnoses.
She has experience in managing and co-managing with ophthalmologists in cases of cataract, macula degeneration, glaucoma and dry eye, as well as prescribing contact lenses.
Hala holds a Bachelor's degree in optometry from Auckland University and also a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology.
